ABOUT US
When Dream Folk Meets Electronic Beats
What happens when the ethereal, melancholic voice of a dream folk singer meets intricate electronic sound design? The duo IOANA & LAIGONEN KANONEN merges these contrasting worlds into a deep, atmospheric soundscape.
This collaboration between singer Ioana and Laigonen Kanonen combines intricate electronic beats and creative sampling with hypnotic, rhythmic structures. Breaking away from traditional pop formats, captivating vocal vibes meet a detailed and innovative sonic aesthetic. With their current single "A Day Alive," the duo delivers the perfect soundtrack for the hours between dreamlike melancholy and electronic depth.
IOANA has been making solo music since 2021. Alongside her collaboration with producer Audhentik under the name Noir FX, she is also involved in various independent and collaborative projects, exploring different sounds and artistic approaches.
Raised in an artist family music has been part of her life since childhood. Through her studies in painting, nature and landscapes grew into an essential part of her artistic work.
LAIGONEN KANONEN is a producer, sound designer, audio engineer and DJ from Berlin. His music is influenced by deep house and minimal techno records from the 2000s and 2010s and is mostly dancefloor focussed.
With his release “Spring” on TRAUM Schallplatten in 2023, he began exploring a more experimental approach to music production.
The new live project with IOANA adds an exciting chapter to his musical journey.
